Conference on 13 May 2020 in Frankfurt am Main
> Register nowMedical software is used in all areas of health care. It fulfils a wide range of tasks as both, an independent medical product or as part of medical devices.
Digitisation vs. Regulation
We are in a field of tension. On the one hand, the functions and applications of medical software are continuously increasing. Artificial intelligence, which is also finding its way into medical care, contributes to this. Legislation promotes this development. The most recent example is the German Digital Health Care Act, which promises the reimbursement of medical apps.
On the other hand, the European legislator is increasing the requirements. The switch to MDR is the dominant topic in the medical technology sector. MDR Rule 11 is expected to bring an abrupt end to many exciting app and start-up ideas. Unfortunately, the hurdle to entering the regulated market has never been higher.
Manufacturers, developers, operators and everyone else involved with market access or the operation of medical software therefore have a number of challenges and questions. You will find answers on 13 May at Medical Software 2020 in Frankfurt.
