ISO 14971

“Medical devices – Application of risk management to medical devices” specifies a process for manufacturers to identify the hazards of medical devices (incl. IVD), estimate and evaluate risks, control those and monitor the effectiveness.

The requirements of ISO 14971 are applicable to all stages of the life-cycle of a medical device.

This international standard has been developed by ISO.
