Unique Device Identifier (UDI)

The Unique Device Identifier (UDI) is a distinct product number that allows the identification of a single medical device on the market. This system is now mandatory for medical devices in both the EU and the USA.

  1. UDI Unique Device Identification
    Why not use the e-mail UDI for identification?
    It is easy, it exists allready, it connects all e-mails with the necessary identification. It is allready implemented in your system.
    And do you know where you can find it?

    1. According to MRD, article 120 (12) the designated issuing entities are GS1, HIBCC and ICCBBA. Up to now no other identification system provider is approved.
